Application of Slag Powder

24 Nov,2021 UTC+8 Views:

Blast furnace slag is a kind of waste slag discharged from the blast furnace during pig iron smelting. The product obtained by quenching the molten iron slag (a by-product of ironmaking and steelmaking) from the blast furnace in water or steam is called Ground-granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBS or GGBFS).
The slag powder formed after GGBS is ground by a vertical slag mill has obvious economic and social benefits. GGBS can be used to produce slag cement with a GGBS content between 30% and 70%, namely Portland Blast Furnace Cement (PBFC) and High Slag Blast Furnace Cement (HSBFC), or it can be combined with ordinary Portland cement to make durable Concrete structure. In Europe, GGBS has been widely used in the superiority of concrete manufacturing. There are also more and more applications in Asia and the United States.
The Great Wall Machinery vertical slag mill is the most ideal production equipment for various industrial waste slag powder. The specific surface area of the produced slag powder can reach 420-450 m²/kg. In the cement production process, it not only reduces the cost of cement production, but also saves energy and reduces environmental pollution.
